[Kanji] Cacao T-Shirt
Evergreen tree of Sterculiaceae (APG classification: Malvaceae). Native to Central and South America. The tree is 4 to 10 meters high, and many branches are stretched almost horizontally. The leaves are oblong with a length of 20 to 30 cm and a width of 7 to 10 cm, and have short petioles and alternate.
When the seeds are soaked in water and fermented and then dried, they become reddish and have a unique aroma. This is called cocoa beans. Cacao beans are cultivated, crushed to remove shells, and ground to make cocoa paste. When this is squeezed, cocoa butter is removed, and the squeezed residue is cocoa.
Japanese calls Ka-Ka-O.
