The Republic of Malta is a small nation comprising three islands

Malta Island, where the capital Valletta is located, Gozo Island, and Comino Island.
Blessed with the Mediterranean’s mild climate and boasting a history dating back to around 4500 BC, as evidenced by discovered ruins, it has continuously developed as a trading port.
It is the first island in the world to produce potable water from seawater.
Known as the “Island of Cats,” it is home to approximately twice as many cats as people, many of which have adapted to eat by cradling food in their front paws.
True to its heritage as a nation built on trade, combined with its pleasant Mediterranean climate, it appears to be an attractive tourist destination.
The capital, Valletta, is registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in its entirety, allowing visitors to feel the history of the Middle Ages simply by walking through the city.
Furthermore, Gozo and Comino islands boast beautiful beaches, allowing visitors to fully enjoy the Mediterranean through activities like snorkeling and scuba diving.
Malta’s culinary culture centers on Mediterranean cuisine featuring seafood. Dishes include fish soups like fennek and għammarra, lampuki pie made with locally caught lampuki (a white fish), as well as pasta dishes such as ravioli and pasta alla napoletana.

Explanation of the Calligraphy

The top row is in hiragana, the middle row in kanji, and the bottom row in katakana, all written horizontally.
Regarding the kanji, there also seems to be an alternative spelling “丸田” (Maruta), but like the kanji used here, it appears to be a phonetic adaptation. However, the kanji used in the work are characters listed in Japanese dictionaries.

Ganó varios premios de oro y plata en caligrafía japonesa (Shodo). Le encanta el sushi y el sashimi. Habiendo practicado caligrafía desde niño, su padre era profesor titulado. Aokage (青景) proviene del paisaje azul como el mar, el cielo azul claro y la sombra azul. Sombra significa ninja.
