The two small vertical characters are read as “Meshiya.” This is a general term for a casual dining restaurant. The three horizontal characters are usually read as ‘Kyuseishu’ in Japanese, but in English, they are read as “Messiah.”
The word on the left and the word on the right have almost identical pronunciations in Japanese.
When written in katakana, they become “メシヤ” and “メシア.” This is an interesting example where, in casual Japanese conversation, it’s not immediately clear what is being said, but when written in kanji, the meaning becomes instantly obvious.
Since this is just an example, these are fictional shop names.
