Niseko is a town located in Abuta District, Hokkaido.
It has a continental climate with an average temperature of 6.3°C (14.5°F). Winter snow depth can reach up to 200 cm (6.6 ft).
It is approximately 120 minutes by private car from Sapporo City or Chitose Airport, and about 90 minutes by private car from Otaru City.
