What kind of country is Saudi Arabia?
It shares borders with countries such as Jordan, Iraq, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Yemen, and Oman.
It holds a central position within the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and the Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (APEC), wielding significant influence over the international oil supply and demand.
Tourist entry is now permitted.
Saudi Arabia began issuing tourist visas in 2019, allowing foreigners to enter for tourism purposes. While Arabic is the official language, English is widely used as a second language, so signs and notices are often written in English.
Beyond its many Islamic historical sites, modern tourist attractions are also expected to increase.
Great news for Otaku a Dragon Ball theme park is planned. It will be built within Kidia City, currently under construction on the outskirts of Riyadh. Kidia City is a town entirely dedicated to entertainment, part of a large-scale urban leisure project aiming to attract up to 10 million tourists by 2030.
Explanation of this calligraphy
The top row is in kanji, the bottom row’s left side is in katakana, and the right side is in hiragana, all written horizontally. Japanese horizontal writing, unlike Arabic script, follows the Western direction from left to right.
The kanji used are phonetic substitutions, but they are accurate kanji characters listed in Japanese dictionaries, written in a handwritten font.
The kanji corresponding to “Saudi” are the first two characters from the left, while the kanji corresponding to “Arabia” are from the third character from the left to the end.
The “じ” in the hiragana on the lower right is deliberately enlarged.
Can you tell where the boundary between hiragana and katakana is? It’s not at the “じ”. The boundary is roughly at the center, between the ‘ア’ and the “さ”.
