Description for "Odawara in Kanji"

A city located in the southwestern part of Kanagawa Prefecture. Developed as a castle town in the Middle Ages, Hojo. In the modern times, there are castle towns such as Mr. Okubo, and Tokaido’s number one post town in front of Hakone Seki. It is the gateway to Hakone Tourism and is the center of commerce and industry in the western part of the prefecture. The fishery industry is also thriving. Umeboshi and kamaboko are special products.
