The top in Japanese has various ways of writing it, and this is one example.

In Japanese, it’s called “U-chu-ichi”.
The first two kanji characters represent the universe, and the last one means “top, first” and so on.

If you write the kanji character “一” at the end, most words will be number one.

Add “一” to the end of words that describe regions or ranges. For example, if you write “一” at the end of the word “Sekai”, it becomes “top of the world“.
However, even if you put a kanji that is not “一” such as “二” or “三” at the end, Japanese people will understand the nuance, but it will be difficult to convey it accurately.

What’s Ichiban style?

The work titled “Ichiban” was created by “Aokage,” the administrator of this site, and “Aokimono,” a contributor. It first demonstrated a bold, substantial yet playful style of writing. For now, we’ve tentatively named this style “Ichiban style.”
