This statue is located in Aoba-yama Park. Aoba-yama Park stands on the site of the former Sendai Castle and was once the territory ruled by Date Masamune, a famous figure in Sendai. Known by the nickname “The One-Eyed Dragon,” he was a renowned samurai who fought with one eye. The crescent moon on the front of his helmet is a distinctive feature of his design.

Sombra significa ninja.
